TomYoungs 45
We are non-uniform at work too and lots of cakes and bun for sale. Empty the purse but put the pounds on in a different way! vena72, blondie and keith

keith 30
THERE ARE PEOPLE OUT THERE WHO WOULD GIVE ANYTHING TO ACTUALLY GET THE OPPORTUNITY TO " GO TO WORK " AND SUPPORT THEIR FAMILIES AND BE ABLE TO FEED THEIR CHILDREN. I AM PROUD TO SAY THAT I WORK IN AN OFFICE OF GENEROUS FOLK WHO ARE CURRENTLY SELLING CAKES, DOING A TOMBOLA ETC. ETC. TO RAISE MONEY FOR THOSE LESS FORTUNATE ! harley1, tigerlilly, Bumble Bee and 1 other
Popsicle 295
Yep, we are Non Uniform here! Also chucked all my spare 'silver' coins into a donation box this morning :-) I am quite sure my phone will be sending a few of those £5 text tonight once the programme starts and the heart strings are twanging! keith

tigerlilly 97
what about the parents who can't work because they have to look after their sick children????? are you saying they shouldnt be helped?? keith
keith 30
I was referring to parents who can't work as they are looking after their children ( who are often disabled or worse still dying ! ). Isn't that what " Children in need" is all about ? I think A debate about the state of our benefits system comes under a different topic. del82, EMALIZ07, tigerlilly and 1 other
EMALIZ07 35
I have happily emptied my purse today to donate to a charity who does an amazing job in this country and overseas. I will give up the 'take away' and bottle of wine which i would have spent the money on tonight and settle for beans on toast instead. After all its only once a year! keith and tigerlilly
georgie 9
Well done Kieth - I totally agree. keith
curly_wurly 4
It happens once a year and its to benefit those less fortunate than me so i happily participate - non uniform at work today, cake sales & games - if you are going to give don't give begrudgingly or because others are, give because you want to otherwise it takes the joy out of it... keith
