I have read the review by Solent Richard and would correct one point other than which it is a good article. The distance for the car service as received from Saga "Regarding the Saga VIP Travel Service, for ocean cruises the mileage limit is 250 miles and for river cruises and long haul it is unlimited"

I sailed on the ship in November and was very impressed. It truly is, 'all inclusive' even the excellent speciality restaurants. My cabin was the lowest grade but very well appointed.IMG_3739.thumb.jpg.017f31caa777e541df53a3d67f47e0c7.jpgIMG_0193.thumb.jpg.559051e7e262fcf6b220788a088d879b.jpgIMG_0086.thumb.jpg.e44226519ca368e218acac62aba353cf.jpgIMG_0105.thumb.jpg.2b621212fefcb7515dccad29b4000bc5.jpgIMG_0089.thumb.jpg.b7ac81a2c1e2b9c2c6cc59c24a53abc3.jpghis was my cabin which was the

On the point of the free VIP Service that Saga offer, Solent Richard was correct when he referred to a personal chauffeur service up to 75 miles. However it is also free up to 250 miles for ocean cruises and unlimited for river cruises and long haul holidays but you may have to share the vehicle. Which ever you have it still makes a very attractive feature in making sure your holiday begins the moment you close the front door.

So true, OWT.

I've spent hours on the internet organising how best to get to and from Heathrow to spend  a month abroad in November/December 2020 without leaving my car at the airport for that length of time.

Finished up renting cars for the trips down and back, with an overnight hotel before we fly.  Very disappointed to find out how much more expensive car hire becomes once over 70!!!!  But still a cheaper option than taxis and, with luggage for 4 weeks away, a better option than train travel, in my view.

Incidentally, the trip is 4 nights in Lisbon before Azamara cruises to Rio de Janeiro via Madeira, Canaries, Cape Verde Islands and then on to Buenos Aires.

Just wish Saga had an itinerary of interest.
