Welcome to the forum alwood😁

Sadly you can request a table for two ,but there is no guarantee you will get one.

We have worked on the same thought lines as you have when booking our cruise for next week on Azura.Like you queuing for a table for two was silly's we opted to go back to traditional dining on the hope of getting a table for two.

Checking last week the early seating diner has a wait list ,but Second sitting and freedom dining you could still book, wonder if people have fallen out of love with anytime dining....Davybe

We have only once had club dining on P&O, that was on Arcadia during its inaugural Caribbean season when it only had club dining. We booked fairly early to get a very good deal and chose and were allocated a table for two. So maybe booking early is  the way to secure a table for two.

We are lead to believe they allocate on a first come ,first served basis....Davybe
