cruise chef 866
So P&O are trying something a little different. Conservatory Mini Suites. Described as a place to chill out which will be cool and shaded which can be left open or closed off depending on the time of day or how you are feeling. Do fellow forum members think this will be a hit as opposed to the traditional balcony cabin?
sammy sun 1084
I think it's a good idea in theory and at least it show SOME innovative thinking from P&O rather than the conveyor belt of normality they've dosed out over the past few years. My issue with it is that they will undoubtedly price this cabins at ridiculous fares for P&O Cruises, which will no doubt come tumbling down closer to the time of the cruise. I do think it's a nice concept though and it makes a positive change to see P&O introducing something different.
mitch 325
they look very smart but personnally the cost will be rediculous, even now the price differential for suite/balcony etc over an inside cabin is pointless to me. i suppose if youve got loads of cash to splash but given the amount of time i spend in a cabin its just not worth it. iknowlescourier 207
Sounds like a copy of Celebrity Edge's inside/outside balcony.

Lets hope they do not copy Celebrities pricing policy, the Edge prices are through the roof IMO....Davybe iknowlescourier
Tally 392
I'd love to try one of these conservatory cabins but not on a ship that size.
Davybe 529
Wonder if this ship ordered by Carnival for Aida group be the basis for Iona. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/travel/travel_news/article-6126373/Carnivals-biggest-cruise-ship-cost-630m-build-accommodate-6-600-passengers.html nice cabins will this be what the dome looks like 20 decks and 23 bars ,still a long walk to get to bed....Davybe
afcandrew 369
Yes, these ships are all the same basic template with a few differences. P&O have released renderings of the Skydome & Atrium on their website. I think the picture above maybe AidaNova's Atrium. Certainly the P&O Skydome is I think only two decks high but the atrium is three.
