cruise chef 865
Just seen a press release to say the brand new ship will be in Europe in 2019 sailing from the UK TO ROME in May, I'm sure this will be a popular sailing as the ship looks amazing
sammy sun 1084
I cannot wait to sail on this ship. It's a certainty for me. I've loved every Celebrity cruise I've done and I think they'll do an excellent job on the new-build. If the edge is half as good as the Solstice Class design, I' sure I'll enjoy it. Davybe 529
And looking at the prices we will be paying top whack to sail on her?? Love Celebrity but not that much....Davybe bigrog and B&M
Bumble Bee 107
The itineraries look really lovely for her. It's my Mum's big birthday in the Jan of 2019, i think she will be eyeing up one of these for sure, trying to get her to try other company's other than P&O!

Leave your car at home and do a one way car rental which also saves on parking charges. Enterprise have a depot just outside gate 8, which is about 150 yards from City terminal. I'd never thought of doing that, especially if like with this itinerary, you're flying back into the UK. I can't imagine it being too much to hire a car for the day either. BrianI 85
The hire cost will probably be less than two weeks parking. Brian

sinbad10 753
They are still advertising dock gate 8 as a location on their website.

afcandrew 356
I also had a mail-out and inside prices started at around £1600. Maybe they have already sold a lot of cabins on the US market? B&M

Oldworldtraveller 2217
Certainly Celebrity are excited about 'The Edge' but will the public share the same enthusiasm. Personally I question the appeal of a moving platform on the side of the ship and what enhancements it brings. When I saw the artists impression I thought it was ugly and looked like an add on. The prices are sky high and agents are trying hard to sell the balcony cabins. Lets wait until nearer the time to see what happens. There is a lot of new tonnage out there offering different experiences so it will be interesting to see how it fares against the competition.
afcandrew 356
A very minor point I know - but - what a stupid name for a ship! 2torts
