Hi all

Please accept our apologies with regards to the recent issues and changes on the Cruise Club Forum.

Without going into too much detail, we have upgraded the forum software. Once everything has settled, it should make using the forum much easier. The upgrade will also fix various issues that have been raised by members.

Please bear with us while we get the final fixes in place.

As a Bolsover employee you can hardly not support the new forum can you, I actually suspect a few others singing it's praises are employees too   although I will apologise for this assumption if I am

I must admit in the first instance I really disliked the new layout, however it has grown on me since then, and although I initially said I'd not post so often, I've found myself posting more Humb

One of the problems for the Admin is not just problems thrown up by the new style forum but sorting out those problems. As I said earlier, I am prepared to give the new style a try but have to admit a

Sorry if I sound negative Admin, but I think the new format is terrible:(

I very much doubt I'll spend as much time on here now, as has been said on another thread a different forum done this sometime ago and they ended up losing a significant number of members.

HLM.

Hi HLM

We're sorry you feel this way :(

Let us know if we can help you find your way around.

I must admit its different and not so easy to negotiate but will be ok when you get used to it. Took me two goes to get in though. Shame the latest posts button has gone, unless I just haven't seen it.....

Hi Pesky Pirate

This option is still available and in the same place although it's renamed 'Unread Content'.

Once there you full control over what content you would like to see here…

It's such a shame people are jumping ship already? Just click on the 'home' button and the menu/layout looks virtually the same to me? Am i missing something?

Hi kerry304

No you're not missing anything :)

When you compare the two side by side the layout is pretty much the same. The new version also has more features available to forum members.

Thanks KeithnRita

When you say 'post review' do you mean so you can preview the post before submitting your reply?

Yes, I was asking about a post preview.

After I posted I did see there  was an edit key available so maybe the post review is not necessary.

Hi KeithnRita

You can use the little page and magnifying glass icon to preview the post before you reply, it's just here...

Hi Davybe

Your browser should ask if you want the login details to be saved. This is usually a pop up message when you sign in. Which browser are you using?

Think I'll be giving it a rest as well..the mobile version which I use whilst away from home is particularly bad and a nightmare to negotiate.

It would help if the quote boxes were more prominent as text from quotes and replies tends to blend.

Just look at HLM's post above.

Hi Terminator

Thank you for your feedback.

The new version of the forum does have it's own mobile version rather than defaulting to the very basic layout that was used before. This should make navigating the forum on mobile much easier, we're sorry that you're not finding this.

We'll see if we can get the quote box darkened up for you.
