The Seven Seas 147
Lee Wachtstetter has claimed to be so spoilt that she doubts she will ever be able to re-adjust to the real world. I vaguely remember reading an article on this last year but here's a more recent article if you wish to take a read... Would you ever consider living on a cruise? I’m not sure if it would be for me, but interested to hear if anyone on this forum would consider doing so.

Shetlander 188
I an curious about the tax and residency implications of "living" on a cruise ship. Also what would you do during the dry dock period . . . . . go on holiday I guess! Sounds good to spend extended periods at sea.
cruise chef 866
If you have sea legs and dont fancy a nursing home in retirement + a different view most days then why not
MG16 149
I met a 92 year old lady in 2006 who had been on Oriana for the previous 2 years, she never had any children and her husband had passed away. I think it would be fantastic to live out your last years on a cruise. Great food, entertainment, well looked after, seeing the world. She made plenty of friends with regular cruisers who would join her 3 or 4 times a year. Each night after dinner a waiter escorted her to her cabin but then we would see her out getting a whiskey an hour later!
Guest MHRedhill
Why not if its what you like and can afford it, it has to be better than being lonely at home or in a nursing home
Pesky Pirate 172
I wonder how you would get around the medical insurance issue…
