Mimosa 116
Anyone have any photos of how obstructed the 2D cabins are on the Celebrity Eclipse??
Guest Solent Richard
Good morning Mimosa. You don't say what deck but this was my 'restricted' view on a recent Eclipse 5 night cruise... Mimosa and blondie
Mimosa 116
Thanks Solent Richard I'm on deck 6 cabin 6209. really looking forward to it even though its almost a year off! Any insider tips for the ship?
Mimosa 116
That is one of the least restricted views I've seen!
sammy sun 1084
That photo is a great example of how restricted views can actually be brilliant value for money. I've travelled in one of these cabins before and had a similar type of "restriction" to Richard's photo. It did not bother us in the slightest and was a good deal in comparison to paying more for a clear view. It's hardly a restriction so worth considering.
The Seven Seas 147
Really great example of a restricted view cabin from Richard! I agree with Sammy Sun this picture just goes to show that restricted views can actually be great value for money.
Monica 31
This is great to see, thank you... Before now I would have never thought to book an obstructed balcony and would have opted for the clear views. Having seen this I will certainly consider an obstrusted view balcony in the future
Honey73 54
I'm always put off by "obstructed" but I'd definitely be happy with this!!!
sammy sun 1084
I think a lot of people are Honey73. Many people, including myself, often look at cabins and see obstructed view and immediately assume the worst but that picture from Solent Richard above proves that sometimes they can actually be a good, cost-effective option. I think it's all about doing your research to pick up the best bargain.
Mimosa 116
I'm really pleased I booked a 2D now. Saved myself some money that I can use to upgrade my drinks package once onboard....
smtcan 274
If this photo works, it will show the difference between partially obstructed and obstructed on Eclipse. The balconies behind the large life boats are obstructed, the smaller ones partially obstructed. These are all on deck 6. There is probably a better way to attach the picture so it comes out larger. If someone can help me I will post it again. Mimosa
Mimosa 116
Even better. I'm in 6209 which is in the same position as 6210 on the opposite side. Looks like quites a good "obstructed view" lol. Thanks everyone, I made the right choice xxx
sammy sun 1084
Good picture smtcan and helpful for many I'm sure with diagnosing which cabins are classed as fully obstructed and which are partial as well as why they are classed as this.
The Seven Seas 147
Another great example smtcan and will be very helpful for those who are undecided on restricted cabins
wanderlust 18
I have considered booking a 2c grade because the price difference between this and a 2b was in the region of £400 per person. i definitely think the saving makes the 2c a much better option, but do you think it will change my experience of having a balcony if the view is partially restricted?
