wanderlust 18
I am looking at getting the coach to Southampton from my nearest services on the M1, which coach company would people recommend?
Captain Kidd II 798
If you are travelling with P&O and have the option of free travel then it will be with Intercruises. If you are paying I would go with Evesway Travel. They seem to have much better reports.
Pesky Pirate 172
If it is with P & O take the on board credit and pay to go Eavesway…. I have heard so many horror stories about intercruises and whilst I do not know if they are true I would still go Eavesway.
ron 606
No contest Eavesway every time hturtle
gina1991 32
i think they are both good, yes maybe eavesway can be slightly better, however it gets you from A to B and starts the cruise of nicely
tigerlilly 97
We've only travelled with Eavesway and have never had any issues hturtle
BrianI 85
The difference is that with Eavesway you know what standard of coach you are going to get. Intercruises do not have any coaches themselves so they subcontract through various coach companies. Some may be good and some not so. You don't know what you are going to get. wanderlust 18
It sounds like Eavesway is a popular choice! Why are intercruises not so good?
hturtle 326
As Brianl says above, Eavesway own all their own coaches and strive to make sure the journey is as comfortable as possible, toilets onboard etc. Intercruise are technically a middle man, they have the contract from P&O and subcontract their coaches from various coach companies around the UK, yes they will get you from A to B but often with no toilets onboard or no entertainment to pass the journey. Matilda_1 79
I've only ever experienced Eavesway but I do know they were very efficient and professional so would happily recommend them.
sammy sun 1084
Agree with some of the comments above. I have used bother coach companies in the past and found Eavesway to be the superior choice. If cruising from Southampton, my wife and I will often drive down now and use the parking facilities, usually with a hotel stay the night before but in the past we did use coach companies. Eavesway were far comfier and I would say a more exclusive brand. Entertainment and toilet facilities were good whereas Intercruises, as hturtle puts it above are more of a middle man service just getting you from A to B.
lesanne 3
We normally drive and stay the night before but have had 2 coach transfers as part of the package. We found Eavesway to be far superior new coach free wifi the inter cruise coach was older and not as comfortable
2torts 345
We booked Eavesway to Dover & they were very good with a comfort stop about an hours drive from Dover. We did a cruise which we flew from Birmingham to join & then sailed back to Southampton which included coach transfer back to the airport with Intercruises. We sat on the coach for nearly 50 mins at Southampton after everyone was on board with no explanation for the delay in leaving. Most people were ready for a comfort stop after an hours drive & getting desperate after 2 hours on the motorways. We finally stopped 15 mins from Birmingham! There were a lot of coaches there & the rumour was that the drivers had a deal with the place & so wouldn't stop anywhere else. All I know is that after getting on for 5 hours after walking the gang plank there was a mad rush for the loos!
