  1. How I agree with the fact people do not use the hand gels. On Sapphire Princess you could not enter the buffet without using it, PandO used to be the same but now just leave the sanitisers for people to use. I actually complained that many people were not using it. I am also amazed how many Ladies do not wash their hands after using the toilet!!
  2. Just been on Sapphire Princess for 11 night cruise from Singapore. Before I went colleagues were telling me Princess was superior to PandO. Yes ,the Horizon buffet restaurant was better than PO, I liked the way they made sure you didn't enter without using the hand sanitiser & the staff came round with tea & coffee etc. if you didn't want to help yourself. That was the only plus. The entertainment & choice of entertainment was very poor. The most popular entertainer was Mauritzio but in such a small area not enough seats available. My biggest criticism was the Freedom Dining. I kno
  3. I have been on Azura a few times & from the comments I have heard I would not like Brittania, I like to use the stairs & depending which lifts you use there are no stairs. I have also had inside, outside & Balconies. Prefer balcony which we used to use from 4pm till dinner as you could sit & relax, wash hair ,do nails etc. or just have early evening G&T. Would choose port side other wise view of sea when in port. Price affects choice but for me an inside is a NoNo! as like to see daylight!. Brittania may suit younger cruises as my daughter thinks the bigger the better but
  4. THE ONLY TIME I HAVE USED ROOM SERVICE HAS BEEN FOR BREAKFAST IF I AM GOING ON AN EARLY MORNING TRIP, AS IT DOES SAVE A LOT OF TIME. GOING ON AURORA NEXT SUNDAY 29TH SO WILL NOTE ANY CHANGES. ALSO GOING ON MY FIRST PRINCESS CRUISE IN JANUARY, NOT LOOKING FORWARD TO EVERYTHING PRICED IN DOLLARS BUT I AM TOLD PRINCESS BETTER THAN P&O SO WE SHALL SEE !
  5. I agree. In my opinion it is the cabin steward who should have the largest tip so I don't do auto tips & leave envelope for my cabin steward.
  6. I would be appalled if this happened, only a simple thing but making a cup of tea whenever I fancy one is one of the reasons I book with P&O. Going on Aurora in October so will try to find out then
  7. thank you Kensington 143. The check-in & departure lounge could be useful for me.
  8. I have also booked my first cruise with Princess and find I have platinum status. Apart from 150 minutes of free Wi-Fi, which I will ,use can anyone tell me what other benefits I may receive. Thanks
  9. It pays to be prepared and take your own wheelchair. As long as it is a folding lightweight manual chair you shouldn't have any problems and the crews are most helpful when embarking or disembarking. My husband unfortunately died earlier this year but we enjoyed many cruises on Azura,Ventura and Oceana without any problems, even some tenders.
  10. When I see some of the prices for balconys on the getaway fares, I would be happy to pay double the getaway price to have a balcony cabin to myself but do P&O allow this?
