  1. Could not agree more. We were on QM2 over Xmas and I could not believe the amount of people that just breezed into the restaurants, yes plural, all restaurants, without sanitising there hands. Most of the time in the buffet restaurant there were no staff on the entrances to make sure you did, even when there were, people still walked straight in and the staff did nothing. Even more worrying was the amount of passengers filling their own bottles with water or juices. I did say something and like you suffered a torrent of abuse.
  2. This has never been very good on any P&O ship and only to be used if desperately ill. It never ceases to amaze me that P&O always seem to introduce price 'hikes' under the guise of being an 'enhanced experience' for their customers, firstly a huge price rise for Internet packages, (240 minutes free on Cunard after 2nd voyage), and now they are introducing an 'improved' room service menu, guess what, at a cost. Come on P&O, why the charge, if you are dining in your cabin, you're not dining in the restaurant, a meal saved!
  3. Totally agree. We have only been cruising with P&O since 2007, although in the past 10 years we have done 14 cruises, Last year we did 2 with P&O and 1 with Cunard. The quality of food has certainly deteriorated in that time. The deterioration seems to have accelerated over the last 3-4 years. Unless you want to eat salad everyday, the choice of lunchtime food is awful, unless you want curried food. I love curry but as the predominant choice in the self serve restaurant every single day, it gets boring. Once upon a time you could get good barbecued dishes, now it is cooked ahead wrappe
  4. Hi, Have done exactly that crossing on Queen Mary 2 mid November 2years ago. Absolutely brilliant. Weather a little cold when we did it, have photos somewhere of snow on the back of the ship. Make sure you are up early so as to see Statue of Liberty as you sail into New York. We took an organised Cunard trip that took in, Manhattan , had a short stay on fifth avenue, , Grenwich Village and the Twin Towers memorial. Excellent tour and very emotional around the memorial site. All in all the whole trip was worth every penny.
  5. Hi, Had similar problem as my wife had a suspected TIA 5-6 yrs ago. We always shop around for insurance and did manage to get cover through Staysure, , but in all honesty would not use them again, won't go into the reasons why, but they want to know complete medical history whether or not symptoms or treatment has recurred at any time. Usually get annual cover, and we did this through SAGA, and I have to say I was very surprised how competitive they were with holiday insurance. If you declare every single condition, unless you have been treated for it or have suffered from the condition withi
