  1. Having sailed on our first cruise on Britannia last year in the Caribbean, thought we’d try a mini cruise as a weekend break and an opportunity to see what the experience of departing on a cruise from Southampton is like. So, our choice of vessel was basically made for us but I was looking forward to trying another ship in the P&O fleet… The boarding process was a breeze, I think it took us 40 minutes from self-parking the car at the Mayflower terminal to getting in our cabin. We even got fast tracked to check in, which was a nice touch. Not sure why though as we’re not on any loyalty
  2. We were on Arcadia for a 2 day mini cruise 14th - 16th July this year and she was just fine. No evidence I could see of the ship looking "tired" in the public areas. True, in the bathroom of our cabin the fixtures and fittings looked a bit worn and the shower hose was a bit rusty, but everything was clean and worked OK. No cause for complaint at all. Flight / arrival at the island / check in We'd booked what turned out to be the first trip where Britannia home ported at St Lucia. I say home ported; obviously, Britannia still made the two day stop in Barbados a week later but ours
  4. Don't know how representative this is but I booked an early saver back in February for Britannia departing 12th Nov from St Lucia, got my cabin and e-tickets today
  5. We’re off on our first cruise together on Britannia starting 12th November (15 nights St Lucia & Eastern Caribbean, Early Saver, Cabin grade HE), and what is my first cruise in 25 years since a jaunt on the Carnival Holiday (I think?) from Miami to Puerto Rico, etc. I’m finding it very difficult to get a measured opinion of this vessel on that (whisper) other cruise forum, you know, the one associated with Trip Advisor… What’s clear is that almost every review on there for her is a ) pretty poor and b ) from a contributor who has made “1 Review”. Now I regard myself as a pretty s
