  1. Would like to know how Sinbad10 knows that Oriana is for sale and how reliable is the information, the reason for asking is that we have booked 2 cruises on her next year.

  3. Reply to pesky pirate. If you look in P and O brochure (January 2016-March 2017) bottom of page 39. " coach collection/drop-off points may not be central to town or city indicated. Service is subject to minimum numbers and Cruise Connect reserves the right to cancel the service 28 days prior to embarkation if deemed necessaty"

  5. Would not use anyone but Eavesway, would rather pay and have the comfort, safety and professionalism of the Eavesway staff. The drivers are alway courteous, helpful and accommodating, and the coaches are top notch. We have a,ways had a safety notice either from the driver direct or on the newer coaches via the onboard TV screen. We always feel in safe hands on Eavesway coaches and can see no reason to change. Would rather have the OBS.
  6. Found Cartagena absolutely beautiful, as already stated very clean. Very short walk to the Main Street from the ship. Also they are uncovering a lot of Roman ruins that were not reply known about, and it is ongoing work, very interesting if you are interested in that sort of thing. Would go back tomorrow.
  7. Apologies for title of previous post. Does anyone know if they take Euros in Hvar (Croatia) or will we need to purchase Kuna, visiting in July. Thanks
  8. We also are happy to see Neil Turnbull back at the helm. Lovely approachable, informative captain, hope to sail with him again in the future.
  9. I know how it feels, we were about 18 nights off getting to gold, when they brought in the peninsular club and the nights to get to Caribbean went up by 50 nights. I have heard that they are going to revamp peninsular club again, now being 2 cruises and 9 days to Baltic level am just hoping they don't move the goalposts again, but nothing I can do about it.
  10. Has anyone else noticed at the bottom of page 178 of the new P and O brochure that from next year they are dropping the semi formal nights on Arcadia, Oriana, and Aurora. I can fully understand these being dropped on family ships, because clearly if you have a couple of children there is enough luggage without the extra of formal nights. However as a dedicated traveller with P and O am disappointed that the semi formal nights are to be no longer, on the 3 mentioned ships, particularly on the adult only ships. Has anyone else any feelings on this subject.
  11. I agree with Pia, I am smoker and agree with not smoking in public places and can appreciate non smokers attitude to smoking, however given that 99.9% of the ship is given over to non smokers! I cannot see how they can complain. I gave never booked a balcony cabin, and am quite happy to smoke in the open areas of the ship, but what really infuriates me beyond anything, is if the sun is on the smoking side of the promenade deck, it is full of non smokers huffing and puffing, pulling faces and even being incredibly rude, I don't complain when I have to spend time on the promenade deck when it i
  12. We have used Eavesway since starting cruising, and found them to be more than first class and will stick with them. The pick up points for inter cruises are not as convenient as Eavesway, and this is not just for us, but other areas as well, it may be worth asking where your local pick up with them will be compared with Eavesway. Also out of interest, when we booked Eavesway for next August we were offered 2 for the price of 1, so we have paid £89.00 for 2 of us to travel from Preston to Southampton return, worth asking if this offer is still on.
  13. I agree as a smoker that it would make sense to have one side of the ship with balconies non smoking, and one side smoking. I really can appreciate, that non smokers do not like the smell of smoke, however interestingly enough on the smoking side of the promenade deck (P & O) if it happens to have the sun, it is packed with non smokers pulling their faces when a smoker lights up, but when there is a gale blowing on the smoking side of the ship they are no where to be seen. I can say that all the cruises I have been on that I have never seen a smoker smoking other than in designated smoki
