  1. I have been looking for a cruise from the UK to Canada, saw one sailing to New York then the Amtrak train to Toronto which I want to include as I have relations there. Think it was out on a Princess and back on the Queen Mary. They did it last year but want to go this autumn or next year. Cannot see anything which is just typical. Can anyone tell me if this is possible? Only one I can see is to New England and Canada this year. Don't want to fly at all.
  2. My friend and I want to cruise from the UK next year for our special birthdays and the itinerary we want to include is the Amalfi Coast. I cannot see any cruises which sail to Naples/Sorrento unless you do a fly cruise which is not what we want to do! Does anyone know of a cruise line which does sail to these destinations? Have seen many Italian destinations which are lovely but we especially want to see the above as have been told it is so beautiful.
  3. Is anyone on the Aurora sailing from Southampton on 21 December? It will be our first cruise at this time of year so would like to know what life is like on board during the festive season. Someone said that going through the Bay of Biscay may be a bit tricky! Looking forward to the Fireworks thought in Madeira on New Year's Eve.
  4. We book with Bolsover! And you just have to pay your fare and enjoy!!!
  5. Have not tried the Oceana yet but understand it is lovely and will certainly book a trip on her in the future. We like the Aurora and much prefer the smaller ships, the large ones like Azura and Ventura which we sailed on were like "Butlins on Sea" according to my partner!! Smaller is certainly much better!
  6. I have been looking at the excursions on the cruise we are doing and, as my partner is a keen fisherman, asked him if he fancied the sea fishing experience. He replied that it was on 4.5 hours (which would include getting there and back) and at £170 seemed a lot of money. Does anyone else know if it is possible to "do it yourself"? The trip we are looking at is in Madeira at new year.
