I knew there was going to be a new series starting this week but I didn’t realise they were changing the format of the show. Previous series’ have seen one episode feature a single ship/cruise, often meaning a lot is packed into each show. This time around they have changed it to make it two episodes per cruise. The first cruise will be Holland America visiting Sydney, Tasmania and then New Zealand. This is followed by a Silver sea cruise on board Silver Muse around South America including Patagonia. Who’s looking forward to the new series and will you be watching?

Do you think Royal Caribbean’s latest ship features are gimmicks or will they last the test of time? I just can’t make up my mind. I know the whole cruising industry is seeing a power shift towards “bigger is better” but I’m not sure such brash attractions will keep people coming back for more. Do you think long-standing traditions are on the way out only to be replaced by novelty ideas or will more traditional cruising prevail?

When do Royal Caribbean 2018 Itineraries Go On Sale?
loub replied to sammy sun's topic in Royal Caribbean
In previous years they've gone on sale Jan/Feb time - whether that will change due to P&O coming out early we will have to wait and see. -

Thanks for your comments. We had a ball. From swimming with the turtles in Barbados, Zip wiring in Amber Cove, Snorkelling in Bonaire, Watching the planes land in St Maarten, jet skiing in Grenade every destination was memorable for its own reason. Mimosa - Thanks again for the Virgin Gorda tip, it was a close call but at the end of the cruise all four of us agreed that this had been our favourite day - unique place. Want to go back........

We are a family of 5 (two parents, two children and Granddad!) We flew with Thomson and the flight was great (we didn't book flight seats and got 5 seats together no problem). Loved the new Dreamliner, it had a real feeling of space. The bonded luggage with P&O was very convenient. This was our first time to the Caribbean and we loved it. I expected the islands all to be very similar but we managed to vary what we did in each port which meant we enjoyed each of the destination for different reasons. There wasn't a single port we were disappointed with and now have the bug and

£25pp is the lowest deposit I've ever seen - they obviously know people are on a budget at this time of year!

Complimentary coaches on the saver fares
loub replied to MG16's topic in General Cruise Chat & Advice
I believe they now swipe everyone's cruise card as they get on the shuttle buses, if you're on a saver it will charge to your account, if your on select it wont. The cost for the shuttles are on the newspaper you receive the night before -

Thanks everybody - that was really helpful. Loving the sound of Virgin Gorda - definitely one the kids would enjoy and not an trip I had looked at prior to this.

We're on Azura in December for a 2 week Caribbean cruise with 2 children (8+10 years) They are 'super' excited at the possibility of swimming with the turtles in Barbados and love being on the beach so I'm sure its going to be perfect for them but has anyone else done any other activities they would recommend for kids? (islands are Bonaire, Curacao, Aruba, Amber Cove, Tortola, St Maarten, Antigua and Grenada)

£56 per night - definite bargain!

I'm on that cruise too - VERY excited. My first time to the Caribbean so all the ports are new to me

That's a brilliant deal on a Cunard ship - get it booked before it goes up!
-
Its extra on board credit and yes it is on top of any other offers - got to be a select fare though I believe
