  3. You may well be right Land Ahoy. It hasn't been confirmed as to where the new ships will be deployed as of yet but it is rumoured that MSC are looking to expand further into North America, China and the UK. We'll keep forum members up to date with the latest news as it unfolds.
  4. MSC Cruises has confirmed that an agreement has been reached for the construction of up to four new ships by 2026. The four new ships will be Liquified Natural Gas powered ships. The first ship is set for delivery in 2022 and will be a minimum of 200,000 gross tons with a passenger occupancy of approximately 5,400 and will be part of a group known as “World Class”.   5. Hurtigruten have revealed the news that they are actively exploring the possibility of adding UK itineraries to their cruise schedule in the future. Hurtigruten’s Senior Vice President, Arild Kaale confirmed that the cruise line were “looking at plans to pick up customers from the British Isles” going on to say “it is something that we are discussing. We're trying to pick up customers where they are -- we also have a lot of Chinese passengers who want to be picked up in Shanghai, so we are exploring that too."
