  1. Yes, National Express coaches, a fast and efficient service and a comfortable ride but above all excellent value.
  2. It's Splice the Mainbrace time, ship mates...Yes, Trafalgar Day has arrived today (Oct 21)...by my reckoning it is the 208th anniversary of that famous rout by Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson. Cheers!

CHESHIREPEN SAYS HE/SHE WASN'T THE ONLY ONE TO HAVE A MOAN ABOUT QUEEN MARY 2 WITHOUT GIVING ANY EXAMPLE (S) OF WHAT WAS WRONG OR WHAT WAS THE LET-DOWN. HAVE SAILED ON THE CUNARD FLAGSHIP SEVERAL TIMES INCLUDING THE 2012 WORLD VOYAGE. ONLY PROBLEM I HAVE FOUND IS THAT SHE IS SO BIG YOU TEND TO SEE A LOT OF CONTAINER PORTS BUT WHAT THE HECK, YOU'RE SOON OUT OF THEM EXPLORING. THE SEAFARING EXPERIENCE IS TREMENDOUS BUT THEN AGAIN IT IS ALSO ON THE ELIZABETH AND THE VICTORIA.
  4. WENT ON THE QE2 THE YEAR IT WAS ANNOUNCED SHE WAS BEING SOLD TO THE ARABS...MINE WAS A LAND OF THE MIDNIGHT SUN VOYAGE. IT WAS A FASCINATING TRIP WITH SOME STUNNING PORTS OF CALL (GEIRANGER BEING MY FAVOURITE ALONG WITH TROMSO THE CAPITAL OF THE ARCTIC). BUT AS FOR THE LINER (NOT TO BE TOO IMPOLITE )SHE WAS LITTLE MORE THAN A RUST BUCKET; A JADED QUEEN OF THE HIGH SEAS THAT REALLY WAS PAST HER SAIL-BY DATE IN 2008. HAVE SEEN HER SINCE TWICE IN DUBAI AND SHE WAS EVEN A SADDER SIGHT BUT SHE STILL MANAGED TO SOUND HER WHISTLE IN SALUTE AS QUEEN MARY 2 SAILED PASSED.
