Hi, we are visiting 2 ports of call in China next March and are looking into the visa requirements For Shanghai we believe we can use the 72 hr transit visa for that stay (overnight) and then several days later we are visiting Shekou in the Guandong province which is different from Shanghai province Can we include this port of call in the 144 hr transit visit as well as Shanghai The visa agencies dont do the free visas for you, only the chargeable visas plus their own costs thanks
  2. Hi, I have always taken hair straighteners (GHD) which are multi voltage on cruises and its never been a problem including MSC. Im taking them on our MSC in Jan too, (world cruise) look forward to seeing you Hair straighteners & curling irons are allowed if you google various sites.
  3. We are sailing with on the Ambassador Ambience this Oct on the Grand Med cruise. The ship wont give details of their shore excursions until 6 weeks before we sail so I’ve only got independent tour operator excursion/prices Viator and Get Your Guide The ship is in port from 4am to 11pm and Im aware of the 3hr drive there and back - the ones I have looked at have a 6 or 7am pick up The itineraries for The Pyramids at Giza and The Sphinx and then onto Memphis City and Sakkara are more or less the same but some offer other stops which I would like advice on please The Papyrus museum
  4. Hi, we are sailing with Ambassador from Tilbury in October and although we are driving there our friend is getting the coach that is laid on to the port from London Victoria Coach station. Are you going with Ambassador, details of the coaches are on their website Otherwise its a coach/train into London and then a train to Tilbury Hope this helps
  5. We are considering a World cruise for 4 months and are struggling to find affordable insurance for that period for over 60s. While single trip insurance is available at high cost, annual multi trip cover is hard to find. We are 61 and 64 with no significant health issues. We have had 90 days insurance recently but there doesnt seem to be a lot out there for World cruises of 120 days. Just had a quote from for £4,700 !! would love to hear your feedback
