The QM2 was the largest cruise ship in the world when it was launched in 2004. The ballroom is not up forward but is at the rear and it is quite large. Cunard claim it is the largest ballroom at sea and I have no reason to dispute this. Brian

You got he decimal point in the wrong place -£4,700. Or £4,738 at today's closing price. Brian

There is a children's tea at 5pm and a night nursery from 6pm which you can use at no extra cost, leaving you free for the evening. Details here https://ask.pocruises.com/help/PO/life-on-board/childrens_club Brian

The 50 night cruise was cancelled and Oriana is currently in dry dock in Hamberg. Brian

The hire cost will probably be less than two weeks parking. Brian -
BRAND NEW Celebrity Edge in Europe for 2019

Leave your car at home and do a one way car rental which also saves on parking charges. Enterprise have a depot just outside gate 8, which is about 150 yards from City terminal. Brian -
The Amsterdam cruise terminal is right in the centre, about a 10-15 min walk to the main railway station. Brian

Credit Card charges to be abolished
BrianI replied to sinbad10's topic in General Cruise Chat & Advice
That is correct for P&O, Cunard and Princess who charge 1.5%. However, I booked a cruise last year through Bolsover with Celebrity on a credit card and there was no charge as Celebrity do not charge. Brian -
Credit Card charges to be abolished
BrianI replied to sinbad10's topic in General Cruise Chat & Advice
From the BBC website http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-40648641 So for a bill of £3000 will cost the TA £18 with a credit card or 10p with a debit card. It's not difficult to see why they do not like accepting credit cards. Brian -
First family Cruise Booked, ANY ADVICE :)
BrianI replied to Dan's topic in General Cruise Chat & Advice
Don't worry about the night nursery. They give you a pager so they can contact you if your child does not settle. Or you can pop your head round the door from time to time to see they are ok. Brian -

Registering Cruise Card against Credit Card
BrianI replied to Ikea Logistics's topic in General Cruise Chat & Advice
Normally you register your credit card when you check in or with some cruise lines on line before your leave home. I am surprised they let you run up a debt without a card or a cash deposit. Most hotels operate the same way. Brian -
