  1. Do Alla tours much easier than ship ones. they do all the paper work and use 16 seater mini buses and you have no queuing at venues and sometimes in before official opening times. You book online and don`t pay until the second day. Ian

  2. Just returned from Oceana fly cruise Malta to Venice etc. We found the air con on F deck completely ineffective. Engineers appeared with a laptop and took the control box of the wall and tried to do some adjustments to no avail. Having checked with other passengers on the deck and with a friend who sailed in December I think P&O SHOULD DO BETTER THAN THIS. I would appreciate any comments as I have raised this problem with P&O head office don`t suppose it will do me any good as they seem to treat long time cruisers with contempt {25 years]

  3. I would favourably compare anything on Viking with any ship I have been on. Almost 30 cruises from Canberra to Azura.

The whole ambiance is so much more relaxed.

No airline style security getting on or off. The Mateus tour for example they spit us into groups off 10 instead off trying to get every one through as one group things like that make a huge difference. Cold drinks and refreshing towels on return from trips etc.

I could  go on but I think you will get the picture

  4. Going on this one from Glasgow .Beware the hand luggage allowance is only 6kg.

Have queried this with P&O that is their contracted rate on  this flight.

I wish there was more consistency with airline they wind me up.

  5. Just back from a fabulous cruise on Viking Torgil. Weather 29-30c no rain . Fabulous crew and beautiful river valley every thing so quiet when sailing you could hear the birds singing alone the river bank.

That was our second Viking cruise and already looking to next year.

After sailing with ocean ships I think we well stay with Viking and forgo the big ships.
